Dear Group Secretary,
                                      Enclosed is a copy of the proposed amendments to the Plan of Procedure (POP) which were tabled at the recent Central Service Council meeting. All groups are entitled to view any proposed changes to the POP so they can send a representative to the next Council meeting and have a say on the proposals.
                                      The Council felt it would be useful to you if a brief explanation of what the POP is was included.
The document has grown over the years as a result of member's experience in the Central Services. It sets out all the decisions made by the fellowship about how we will make decisions, what our responsibilities are, who makes up the Council, when we will have meetings etc. It is not a set of rules however, and the fellowship is free to ignore the document if it wishes. Our experience shows we run into problems if we do however.
                                      The amendments you have now will add information to the POP which is needed by the Committee and in particular, the Treasurer. Please encourage your group to discuss these amendments and to phone the office if they have questions. Please let us know who your Central Service Representative is before the September meeting, because the quorum is established by counting these members.
